We’ve grown and worked with enough YouTube channels to know that your biggest problem with getting views and growing your channel is… incredibly individual. I’d love to be able to send you a newsletter titled “This is Why You Aren’t Growing on YouTube” with the big, secret answer to what’s holding your channel back. I’d love to tell you in a couple paragraphs how you can get mega views and turn YouTube into your full time thing in a month or two. But that isn’t how YouTube works is it?
Your channel is unique. You’re audience is unique. You have different strengths and different gaps in your skillset than anyone else. We can usually spot what is holding a channel back, and it’s never the same for everyone.
The fastest way to learn the core skills for your channel is to sit down and put in the reps while you have real-time guidance. And the best way to give that to you is a live workshop where we can help you fine tune your process every step of the way.
We’re going to walk you through the very best methods for ideation, outlining, storytelling (which by the way applies to every channel if you were wondering), scripting, on-camera skills, post production and publishing. Oh wait, getting ahead of myself there. Before even coming up with the video ideas you need to dial in your channel direction, know exactly who you’re talking to and where you want your channel to be in a year. We’ll start with that.
Oh and by “live” I don’t mean “We’re calling it a live and having a fake countdown timer before a pre-recorded video goes up where you can chat in the comments.” HECK NO. I hate it when channels do those gimmicks. I mean like two intensive days of working with us and other channels. This is going to be as close to an in-person workshop as we can possibly make it. You’ll need to have your camera and mic on for this the whole time. Unless your kid starts crying in the background or something, then go ahead and mute ;)
Here’s the deets, get your spot before we sell out. To really uplevel your skills we need to keep the group small so we’re cutting it off at 20 spots.
To the Zero-Buzz Workshop – not the talking at you kind, the working with you kind.
No, there won’t be a lot of buzzy, fluffy, complicated sounding strategic talk that makes us look smart but you can’t actually use. This will be 100% actionable and tailored to your channel.
We’ll actually be working on your channel throughout the workshop. It’s very interactive so don’t plan to just sit back and listen. We’ve found going through the exercises while we’re there with you is the best way to make sure you’re doing everything right for your channel.
October 10-11
9am – 5pm (MST)
WHERE: Virtual. Just have any web cam and mic. Even your phone camera will do.
RSVP: Register now using this link.
30 minute private consult. This give us a chance to talk to you individually about your channel and you can ask all of your questions. Creators tell us they have breakthroughs in the first call. Early birds get an extra 30 minute consult. I’d suggest you use one before and one after the workshop if possible. That way you can go through the workshop with additional clarity based on what we discussed and have another 30 minute consult for any new questions you run into once you’ve been on your own for a week or two. We typically charge $500 for an hour-long channel consult so this is a killer deal.
Before The Workshop
We see it all the time, creators go months or even YEARS down the wrong path and later have to take on a painful pivot, which is why we’ll start the live workshop with a Channel Direction Map session to get more clarity on your channel style, audience and long term goals than you’ve ever had.
Then we’ll work through Video Ideation with you. We want you to walk away with at least 12 videos that you have a premise for along with simple bullet point outlines that you’ll improve on after the workshop. This will minimize any friction to publishing consistently after the workshop and through the holidays. When creators plan their videos ahead of time they stay consistent.
October 10 (Live)
With video ideas in hand, we’ll dive deep into the first one with a session on Storytelling. Seriously you need this. I don’t care if your channel is ASMR, educational or if you’re aiming to have the most boring channel on YouTube. You need storytelling. And we’ll show you what that can look like for your specific channel and topic.
From there we’ll dive into Outlining. At this point it’s time to structure these videos around meeting the goals you identified in the channel map phase. You’ll also be using what you learned about what storytelling looks like on your channel for this part.
Last before actually hitting record, we’ll work through Scripting and Pre-Recording. Does anyone really love how they are on camera? I hope you do but I’m guessing you don’t. Either way, we’ll do exercises to be more polished (just kidding, we’ll probably encourage you to be less polished but you’ll feel more put together), confident and ready to hit record knowing that you’ll kill it.
October 10 – 11 (Live)
Next, we’ll dive into Post Production. One of the most valuable skills I’ve learned for growing channels is what to take out of your edit. We’ll show you how to do this on every video so that your watch time can skyrocket (the algo loves that stuff). This might be the most valuable exercise of the whole weekend.
Once you have an edited video, you’re still not done. So we’ll spend some time covering valuable Pre-publish steps for YouTube. It seems like people either ignore this completely or spend way too much time on little things that won’t make a difference. We’re going to help you streamline things like your description, title and thumbnail backups in case your original packaging missed the mark with your audience and calls to action to get your audience to stay on your channel after the video is over. And by streamline I mean set up a routine so this only takes you like 10-20 min each time.
You can help the video along even after it’s published with our Post-publish steps. And just like with the pre-publish steps, it won’t take a lot of extra time. We’ll show you the tricks for that too.
October 11 (Live)
And there’s so much more we can do to help you that we felt we had to include. But it would be impossible to do this with 20 people in two days real time so we’re going to do it asynchronously in the weeks following the workshop. When I said we got you I meant it. Wait, did I say that yet? …We got you.
Agh… critique is a strong word for something as sensitive as how you’re perceived on camera isn’t it? Don’t worry, it won’t be harsh. Getting better on camera is a process, we know that as well as anyone. This is just us taking a look at your videos and sending you back some tips on what parts of your delivery to lean into and what parts to tweak a bit. I promise we won’t make you cry… probably.
We’ll have one of our awesome videographers take a look at your videos and suggest some tweaks to your lighting and audio set up. Let us know what equipment (or lack thereof, no judgment here) you’re currently working with and they will send you a list of some tweaks you can make using what you already have to level up your production quality, along with some recs on what equipment would serve you best when you are ready to invest a bit more.
We’ll help you customize a template for your video descriptions and give you a checklist so you don’t forget those other pre-publish steps like end screen cards, pinned comments, etc. If you’re confused on any of that, no worries. We’ll cover it all in the workshop.
You may know what all of the analytics technically mean, but what they say about your video performance isn’t always as straightforward as it seems. For example, if your video spreads way further than usual your watch time percentage is almost guaranteed to be lower than your usual. But it would be a mistake to infer that you were extra boring in that video. That’s the kind of stuff this cheat sheet will have for you to reference when you’re revisiting your analytics long after the workshop is over.
Even when you know your video should have a hook and story elements and impact statements and so on… it’s so easy to forget. Been there. Having an outline template will help you fill in the blanks and not forget anything. This seriously reduces the friction to planning your videos.
This is the most underutilized tool for content creators. Well, underutilized for small YouTubers. I can’t say that it’s underutilized for successful YouTubers because they’re all doing it. I mean, I’m sure there’s some great YouTuber out there who isn’t, but we’ve yet to find them. I’m not exaggerating when I say every big YouTuber we’ve talked to is a part of some kind of ongoing mastermind or accountability group. Having a small group of people that you work with regularly to help each other see blind spots, bounce ideas around and push each other to the next level is the secret sauce that so many YouTubers are missing. So after the workshop we’ll pair you into small groups so you can continue to meet and grow together.

Maria lost her teaching job during COVID because she wasn’t a native speaker of the language. It left her with no income. So she started researching how she could make a living online but decided she could do anything BUT YouTube because she doesn’t speak English natively.
Her doubts prevented her from trying. That is, until she realized that what she saw as a deficiency might just be her super power. She could relate to language learners better than anyone!
She invested in a simple light, a cell phone with a camera, a tripod, and Project 24, our membership for people who want to grow a YouTube Channel and make a real income from it. She says it was the best investment she made.
As a teacher, Maria knows the value in finding a good teacher to guide you, especially when you’re learning something new.
She set a goal for her channel to find just 10 paying students who should could work with one-on-one. And when she started publishing regularly on her channel, it took just 1 month for a viewer to reach out to her and ask if she had a course!
It took just 5 months for her to reach 1,000 subscribers!
She said that she would consult our Project 24 course content while planning each video to make sure she was using the best strategies to succeed on YouTube, like how to structure the video, what format to use, and how to retain and engage viewers.
Maria specifically called out our guidance on Storytelling as the foundation of her top performing video.
Her favorite strategy from Project 24 was our Wagon Wheel strategy, which helps her make good use of every video on her channel to grow her business.
Maria quickly replaced her old income with private students of her own and has a thriving business all because of her YouTube channel, which currently has over 45K subscribers.

We can’t wait to meet you, talk about your channel, and dive into the details of growing your business.
Although you can get personalized help in P24 this is a lot more hands on and intensive. We’re going to be working with you for two days straight as you go through these exercises and refine your channel strategy.
No, it wouldn’t be possible to cover everything in P24 in two days. We’re packing as much into this workshop as possible but there is still a lot more to learn so if you’d like to also join P24 before or after the workshop we’ll give you $100 off your first year.
If you’re already in P24 you’re still going to get your channel to a whole new level by the end of this workshop. And because we love you extra we’re giving you $100 off of the workshop if you’re one of our P24 peeps.
Life is busy and time zones are tricky. So we’re also giving you recordings of all of the workshops to watch later in case you miss a couple. If you can’t be there for both days, we believe it’s still well worth the money even for one of the days. But if there is any way you can swing it, we really encourage you to be there for the whole thing so that you get the maximum benefit.
Then this workshop isn’t for you this time. Consider joining P24 to be a part of our community and go through the YouTube system on your own time. Also, join INSIDERS so you’ll be the first to hear if we do something similar in the future.
Early birds get a cheaper ticket price and an extra 30 minute private channel consult. Early bird pricing and bonus goes away October 1st, then tickets will be sold at the base price only – unless we’re completely sold out before then.
Because the process of this workshop is so personalized it’ll work for any size channel but we firmly believe you’ll get the most benefit if you’ve made at least a couple of videos for your channel. If you haven’t, there’s still time to make a video or two before the event! At the very least you must have your channel set up on YouTube before the workshop begins.
Ricky Kesler, Nathan Aydelotte and Julia Minor will host the sessions. For your private consult you can choose which of us you want to book with depending on our availability and your schedule.
Cool, email us here and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
